UpShare MB shortcut

Use Apple Shortcuts to easily share any file online using Micro.blog uploads.

This shortcut helps you to upload any file to your Micro.blog account and copy the resulting direct URL to the clipboard for easy sharing. Send items from the share sheet, or run it without input to choose from sources like Files, Photos, the clipboard, and the camera.

It was inspired by the demise of Dropshare Cloud.

It has several clever features (if I do say so myself) including an optional upload history so that you can easily reshare the items without uploading them again (using a self-managing text file), and a check to make sure the file being shared is supported by Micro.blog (and a fallback to upload it as a ZIP archive if it isn’t).

Version 1.1 — 2024-03-19

  • Added an option to set a persistent upload destination in case you have multiple sites with Micro.blog. Just add your Micro.blog subdomain (i.e. https://jarrod.micro.blog) in the ‘Setup Stuff’ to always upload to a particular site. If left blank, it will default to uploading to the last site you used on Micro.blog.
