Micro.blog Multimedia Uploader shortcut
Use Apple Shortcuts to upload any file to Micro.blog and format it for your blog post.
This shortcut helps you to upload any file(s) to your Micro.blog account and then copy the resulting URL(s) in the format of your choosing — including Markdown for images, HTML for videos and audio, or a plain URL for other files.
It includes niceties like allowing you to choose to upload images as either JPEGs or PNGs so that they will/won’t appear on your Photos page, recursive encoding of videos to try to get them under the upload size limit, and an optional function to use another shortcut to auto-generate image description drafts to use as alt text.
Please note:
- You’ll need to copy a Micro.blog App Token from your account to enter during first setup.
- The image description generation shortcut requires an API key from a paid-though-inexpensive OpenAI account with access to the GPT-4 with vision model.
