Play Wordle shortcut

Use Apple Shortcuts to open the Wordle website, delete the photo of your grid, then go back to the task to complete it.

This shortcut opens the Wordle gameplay website, then waits for you to return to Shortcuts app before deleting the most recent photo from your library (which would be your Wordle grid if you use the WordleBot shortcut to share your results). Then it returns to the Things app, so a daily Play Wordle” task can be checked off.

Using this shortcut in a daily routine, run by using a URL scheme from a task manager, is detailed in this blog post.

Required Apps

  • Things 3 (But this action could be swapped out for any task manager, including the built-in Reminders app. Or it could be removed entirely.)

Run This Shortcut

You can run this shortcut from its URL (such as from within a note, calendar event, or to-do item):
